With the advent of the internet, people have become less attracted to printed material such as books, though i make it a point to read books as often as i could. I read books to while away time especially when i'm on long travels, like intercontinental trips. Right now i am into this book by Jared Diamond entitled "Guns, Germs and Steel". It is an attempt to explain the disparities in societal developments between third world and industrialized nations, based on pre-historical developments dating back to 13,000 years. As the cover states, it is "a short history of everybody for the last 13,000 years". How about you, what book are you into right now? Why does the book fascinate you?

I'm reading "Carry Me Home" 'Birmingham,Alabama The Climate Battle of the Civil Rights Revolution' By: Diane Mc Whorter
Its about what happened in Birmingham during desegregation in the '60s. I majored in political science with a minor in psych. I like to keep my hand in.
I usually read about three books a week.
