Yes It's Cheating and Wrong, but do Steroids Really Help Someone Hit a Baseball

Let me start by saying I think baseball players taking steroids should be punished, but does it really aide a person in hitting a baseball?
I don't doubt it gives an athlete more strength, and power, but you still have to have a good eye and a quick swing to even make contact with the ball.

Steroids doesn't provide a person with the skill to hit a curveball. If that were the case, I would take 'em and be the first female in the game.
What steroids does is prolong an athletes' playing life. They help muscles get stronger in the sense that after working out your muscles repair quicker, thus making you stronger.
If you look at the amount of people who have gotten caught taking steroids, many of them are pitchers, which makes sense. The body isn't made to throw a baseball the way a pitcher does. If he takes steroids, his body recovers faster and gives him an unfair edge over other players.

They're cheaters, both of them. We don't know that they weren't doing steroids before 2003, so I say their records need to be axed completely. Show people what happens when they cheat. They deserve to lose everything. The MVP trophies, the bonus checks, and all their stats should be erased from the books.

You can't disregard their records. It's impossible. What about the people who have taken steroids and weren't put in this report because this report isn't the beginning and the end to the steroid problem?
Pretending as though these people didn't exist isn't going to fix the problem. Sweeping it under a rug isn't going to fix the problem.
The report was put out there because it's need to be in everyone's face and out there. These people were also linked around 2003 when the rules regarding steroids in baseball weren't as harsh now. You can't just go back and change history because you don't like it.

I'm not trying to pretend they didn't exist, and I certainly don't want anything swept under the rug. I want these people to serve as an example to people who cheat to get into the record books. I think eliminating their stats, awards, and prestige would be a fitting punishment for what they've done to injure the reputation of major league baseball. I certainly want it publicized so other athletes would learn from it.

Makes it much easier to play a long season and recover faster to compete at a high level as opposed to a regular human being with milk, steak and vegi's. But, no it doesn't help you hit a knuckle, curve, sinker or any other type of major league pitching. If you do make contact it may give you a little more power, but it is mostly used for recovery time, strength and endurance.

The strength, power, and added reflexes help hit home runs. Hand eye coordination and solid timing help a person hit the ball. Barry Bonds isn't known for his ability to bunt, or how well he makes a base hit. The guy hits home runs. If it weren't for the steroids he wouldn't have all those home runs and may not have won as many games. The guy is a jerk and deserves to have all his statistics erased like the girl in the Olympics who admitted to taking steroids.

I don't think it does. Even then, you still have to do the work. Just remember what happens when you do get involved with them. You have to have a good eye for the ball and I wouldn't say it guarantees Home Runs are getting it completly. I think really each person is a different case.
If it really did help, then you'd be seeing High School players taking them and getting hits like crazy. Or maybe the College level as well.
It's worse when they're not honest about it and just try to hide it. I can't say who is on and who isn't just by looking. These guys make their own choices and if they want to suffer later because of it, it's on them. That's the cold hard truth.
