What types of gift exchanges do you participate in?

I love "dirty santa" gift exchange, also known as white elephant gift exchanges. It's sort of a game and a gift exchange as well, in which you can steal presents others have already opened.
They are a lot more fun than the typical "draw a name out of a hat" gift exchange

dear M...as teachers at school we've had an ugly gift exchange, where you bring in something downright ugly, for a gift...it's fun to see how wierd they can get...can you explain how your gift exchange works, for dirty santa...
