I am sorry for your loss. I have not lost any of my parents and I dont even want to think about it. I almost lost my dad about 6 yrs. ago. He had a massive heart attack and had to have a heart transplant. What are they fighting for? Is it land, money or somethink else? If it is land, money or any of the sort, you need to get an attorney to get this all straight. I wish you the best and good luck.

Thank god that i havent lost a parent yet. I dont know what i would do with out either one of my parents. They support me in everything i do, so losing one would be like losing my support system.

I have lost both parents and an older brother in the past 6 years. This makes me the oldest of the family and I an not yet 50. My siblings had a tough time with the estate too. Different personalities never see things from the same perspective. Some attribute words to the deceased parent, claiming they would have said to do this or that. Others are ready to give it all away for money or to turn away their share in order to avoid conflict. It's a tough time. I lost both parents suddently too and that leaves a big hole with no opportunity to share final words. Also, the sibling struggles have something to do with how each one processes grief differently.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how devasting this must be for you. Both of my parents are still alive. My husband was killed suddenly in a plane crash when he was only 40 years old, however, and I was still in my 30's, so I can relate to losing someone suddenly and unexpectedly.
It's terrible that your sisters are fighting over everything. They must realize that your dad would not have wanted this! Is there some unrelated person that you all could get to intervene and divide up the belongings in an unbiased fashion? It's a shame that families have to be like this at a time that they should be comforting each other. My husband's family will not even speak to me now because they thought that I should have given them everything that was his, even though we had been married for 13 years and had children together! It's just amazing how selfish some people can be at a time like this.
You might want to at least get some therapy or counseling for yourself. I did this and it really did help.

I lost my dad almost 2 years ago and I still miss him terribly. I've been strong for my mom and my sisters, but inside, I miss him everyday.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your love ones. I lost my Dad last May. He had diabetes and had gone completely blind. Its very hard to go through something like this but you have to be strong. Just lean on God, your friends and family members. It is sad that your sisters are fighting at a time like this and I know it makes it harder for you. Things are just that...things. All I have are memories of my Dad a few pictures and a watch that probably came from Walmart. But if means a lot to me to just have that. Just try not to let it get too you. Hope I have helped some.
