I have been a mom for five years now. I have a five year old daughter who just started kindergarten in August, a 3 1/2 year daughter, a 1 1/2 year old son and then of course, my 3 year old who has been dearly departed for the last year and a half. I have come a long way in learning through these last five years but nothing that I have learned compares to this: No matter how much I've learned, I learn something new everyday. I've learned that each of my children are different in many ways. They each have their own personalities and none of them are quite the same. Sure they share likenesses. But they are completely different from one another. I've been struggling over the last few days and was wondering if there was anyone who could offer some advice. I have been advised to seek counseling for my 3 1/2 year old because she has had some severe anger issues for a child of her age. She has become extremely agressive over the last few months and she doesn't listen to me at all. I've tried everything from the reward system to grounding. Is she too young for counseling? Are there counselors who are specifically for children of her age group? I was just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this problem with their children. I have not come across this problem with my children yet so this is new to me. As I said, I learn something new everyday. Any advice would be extremely helpful. Thank you all. And to all the moms out there, dads too, pamper yourselves, we deserve it every once in awhile. Thanks ahead of time everyone.
