Is This a Good Gift Idea for a Boyfriend? Help!

OK, so this is mine and my boyfriend's first Christmas together, and he refuses to give me any good ideas on what to get him!!! I already got a few smaller things, like stuff for his xbox, and the jeans he wanted, but I wanted at least one larger gift, or at least something a little bit more meaningful. Here's my one idea, and I'm wondering how many of you think it's a good idea, or a bad idea, or what else I should get him!! I was planning on "kidnapping" LOL his photo album he has...he has this big photo album with all of his pictures from his childhood, and of his parents, and his mom especially, since she dies when he was 11...all of them got ruined when his basement flooded...but they aren't totally destroyed. Just a little faded and tattered, but you can still kind of see them. I was thinking of taking it to a photo shop to get them fixed, like I've done with some old pics of mine, and putting them all into a new album for him. Do you think this is a good idea, or do you think it's weird, or dumb? LOL I need opinions on it, or at least other ideas!! Thanks guys!!

It's always a good thing to tell the person properly and not kidnapped as you mentioned. Enjoy the Christmas but don't forget the reason for this season!!!!

I know lol...but I'm pretty sure that if I told or asked him, he would probably say it was silly...he is a boy, remember! LOL...I think it kind of takes away the surprise and sentiment if I were to tell him. I am pretty sure that he'd like it, and not be mad if it were "kidnapped"...he never even looks at it now that it's ruined, and I'm positive wouldn't even notice that it was gone. Thanks for your response!

But if she tells him then it won't be a surprise! I'd say go for it, I think it's a great idea!

Thanks Teddy! He's one of those really non-emotional guys, so I relaly hope this at least gets something out of him! LOL I think he may be most impressed with my super ninja-like photo album removal skills! LOL

That sounds like such a good idea to me!! If my boyfriend did that for me I would be so happy and probably cry haha. I'm sure he would love that since it is so thoughtful of you. I think you should definitely do it. :)

Thanks! I'm glad you guys think it's a good idea. I was out of better ones anyway! He's going on call next week, so I'll have ample time to kidnap it and get it to the store LOL...last time I got prices, the man quoted me about $2 per picture, provided they aren't in HORRIBLE condition, which they're not...so I think it will fit the budget well, and hopefully he'll like it! He wants to get engaged at Christmas...at least he's been hinting at it...so I need to top that one!
