Cleaning for Christmas Dinner

My family is coming to my house for Christmas Dinner this year and we have to get the house in tip-top shape. It must be SPOTLESS! (as my mother says but will not do) Now I know that there are those things that people always clean, and then there are those things that you just don't think about but need to be done...or just would look better done. I was just wondering what kind of things you do when cleaning for a family function or just spring cleaning. A list of the things you've cleaned or just a couple of things you think most people forget or just don't think about would be appreciated. I already have a list of my own but thought it'd be neat to see what everybody else does and maybe get some ideas, even tips on the everyday stuff. I already cleaned my mother's bathroom sink. YUCK!
