american idol doesnt acheive much

i am a songwriter and my personal though about the american idol show is that its not really a tool that the guys who get through can us for their career. for any musician his/her market is his/her audience. the competition teaches the contestants nothing about the real world that they face and how to make it in the real music scene

Well most of the music reality show the world over do not achieve much. They run for some time and than fade out. The so called emerging stars who come out of these shows hardly have achieved any position in their respective fields.
