feeling pain

Well,though i am not a doctor nor related to this field but still i think that why creatures of this world feel pain.And what happens if man(centralizing the topic around man)does not feel pain.Does it count if man can not feel pain. According to me if man does not feel pain then mentally he is almost inresponsive to others feeling and his life becomes very shorter and fruitless.Because it is pain which gives the sense to happiness and joy
