Dangerous Trend in OB Units

See this article published in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Entitled "Stork Tries a New Strategy." It is about the trend of OB units hiring doctors to serve the role of "laborist." Basically, the "laborist" is in charge of all deliveries in the unit. They can even overrule your personal physician or midwife. They deliver patients even if they have never met them. http://www.philly.com/inquirer/busin..._STRATEGY.html I think this is absolutely terrifing! If you feel the same way, please write to the inquireer to ask why they did not present a more balanced view- or at least interview a single critic of this alarming, dangerous and scary trent.
