I think Anil Kumbale has the potential to become the highest wicket taker in tests. Though he is 37 years old, if he can play for another two years he can overtake Muralidharan's record. Kumble is bowling better every test and there is no stopping him. Look at the rate he is picking up wickets! Before the Australian tour concludes Anil will certainly surpass 600 wickets.

kumble is an excellent bowler to have in the team. He has won many matches on his own for the team. And he plays for India for two-three more years then nobody can stop him from reaching the milestone of 700 wickets.

if it happens then I will be very happy with that. Already we have the best batsmen in the world. He has caught the most number of runs and also the most number of centuries in both form of the games and it is very nice that he is an Indian and he is holding such a big record and now if anil can become the highest wicket taker in the world than it are the best batsmen and best bowler both power from India. And I personally feel it is a very nice record to hold.. It will show that we Indians have a lot of talented players.

I really appreciate your optimism, but i seriously doubt if he can overtake murali.Given the fact murali would also be playing along with him,i dont think its quite possible to overtake murali.

Anil has been bowling beautifully and he can play for another 2 years but as a matter of fact murli can play for 3-4 years and he is aiming for 1000 wickets. I dont see murali retiring soon, so impossible for Anil Kumble to achieve world record.

Anil Kumble is a good bowler but I don't think he has enough time in his career left to overtake Warne or Murali. He has missed too mnay tests in recent years which has harmed his prospects. Also don't think Murali will retire any time soon so think he will definitely be out of sight for Kumble

i dont think so
because muralidaran is still playing
if kumble want to become the highest wicket taker muralidaran should retire
