the most sad christmas song

Christmas is nearly coming and the most evident of this is the Christmas songs played in the radio. but what do you think is the most sad Christmas song you've ever heard? as for me, here's a "a prisoner's christmas" which is originally cebuano or bisaya, our native tongue here in Cebu, Philippines. it is said that it was composed by a young man sent to jail to a crime he didn't committed and he was incarcerated away from his family and friends, he just sadly wished them merry christmas. the lyrics depicts injustice, shows a feeling of unhappiness and its melody is tuned almost like a melancholic lullaby. the song is titled, "Pasko sa Binilanggo" which means "A Prisoner's Christmas".

For some reason, I always get said when I hear the John Lennon Christmas song- I think it's called- "SO this is Christmas" but not sure of the title. It reminds me of my grandma which is why I think it makes me cry everytime! She passed away when I was only 6 and I'm 34 now and it still affects me! :(

hmm, that song is quite a melody. you make me think of my late grandpa. i guess there are things that we ought to remember until our old age.

Two songs come to mind, but for personal reasons, I'll Be Home for Christmas.....because all of my family and my daughters will be gathering at my mom and dad's house, and I'm not able to join them this year. But, I will have my wonderful boyfriend and his family to be with this year. And Where Are You Christmas, by Faith Hill from The Grinch, that one was my song in 2004, I was seperated (soon to be divorced) living on my own after 16 year marriage, and was not in the Christmas mood too much that year. Thought I was going to have to work Christmas Day, but ended up getting off work and driving to my mom and dad's and surprising everyone for Christmas.

yeah that is quite sad thats the reason why i dont want to get separated from my family during christmas and new year. but hey, to your family - surprise,surprise,suprise, LOL!
