How to improve spoken english?

Because of job,i need contact some foreign friends.The english is important.I really want to improve my spoken english now.Anybody have good idea for me?I really want to make some friends and talk about everything by Skype or MSN.How do you think about it?Wait for all of you good comments.thanks.
