Are Indians angry about Kirsten's likely appointment?

It looks like most Indians are squarely against the likely appointment of Gary as the next Indian coach. Most people are blaming the BCCI for not having or not following a process for coach-selection. It certainly sounds strange when someone who has not applied for a job is offered the same. It is also strange that a person with no significant coaching experience is offered to coach Team India. No doubt, the bowling and fielding coach hava done a wonderful job and the results are visible. With people like Sachin, Saurav and Dravid in the team, the necessity of a batting coach is questionable. It is also a mystery that Kristen is offered the job when many of the applicants had more cricketing and coaching credibilities then Kristen. Coaching Team India has never been an easy job for anyone. John Wright found some success as an Indian coach. What's your stand on this?

India already have a bowling and fielding coach, so a coach having some batting skills is not too bad. Also Sachin and Kumble gave their approval for appointment of kirsten. Also kirsten has experience of being batting coach of SA.

i totally agree with you on this my friend. i dont know why BCCI has done this. is this shopping on footpath, where you buy a cheap option. i dont understand one thing, we are i think the richest board of all cricketing nation and we cant appoint a good coach who has experience and success to his tally. and is there such a shortage of choaches in india that we have to look for foreign coach. i find it nice to see that sandeep patil coached kenya and they did a very good result in the world cup. then there was whatmore. if you have money spend it wisely.

It is true that Sandeep's coaching credentials are phenomenal. And so is Whatmore's. Both of them have a fairly good idea about the culture and ways of living in India, which are important as well. Thanks a lot for the response.

Hello, Beautiful! you are absolutely right.there is no necessity of appointing a coach who has no experience of a coach.in our land there are a good number of world class players who can do a lot for improving the standard of our players.the present trio have proved their worth as team manager, bowling and fielding coach.an out sider will never feel patriotism what our own people can.s. instead of running after a coach let them continue what so ever.thanks for the idea and good luck to you and team india.
