I haven't heard anything about soybean or sunflower oils but the way the cooks on TV talk it seems the only one that seems to be olive oil and the more expensive the better, I don't think too much of any of them is good for you.

well, actually my main purpose of posing this discussion is to help me doing my school work. Olive oil contains higher percentage if monounsaturated fats while soybean and sunflower oil contains higher percentage of polyunsaturated fats. So, certainly, soybean oil and sunflower oil are healthier than olive oil.
Thanx for the reply

Hi!
I use both soyabean oil and sunflower oil. Both have a higher percentage of polyunsaturated fats and are said to be good for the heart.Everyone keeps recommending olive oil but I find it really expensive.I use it very sparingly for my salad dressings.I have really not gone into the facts as to which of these two are more healthier.

I am under the impression that sunflower oil is healthier. But nonetheless I try to use very little oil in my cooking. That's healthiest, I guess. :-)
