The cancer is back/marrow transplant is off now

Oh man, I am so sorry, that is terrible. It seems like it takes so long to get these things scheduled out and then it becomes too late. I feel terrible to your wife, although it must have been scary to do this, she was being very brave and now it was all for nought. I hope the cancer is not irreversible and don't give up.

I'm sorry to hear this news. Its so hard to watch a person suffer from cancer. I hope he is able to find the strength to survive one more time. My prayers to Tom and the rest of the family.

Oh Grandpa Bob...I don't even know what to say. You and your wife and her brother have been in my prayers through all of this. I was really hoping for a good outcome and I'm so sorry to hear this has happened. Please continue to update us as you can and know that you have a whole world of people praying and sending good thoughts your way.

Oh, Grandpa Bob...I am so sorry. It seems to be such a long process and it takes so long to get the transplant done, that anything can happen in that time. I will be praying for all of you.

What terrible news! Yes, I will pray for your brother in law Tom. My sister had leukemia, had chemo, and then the bone marrow transplant.. it came back about three years later, she had chemo again, then another bone marrow transplant, both from our brother.. and now it's been more than ten years.. I am praying the same will be true for your brother in law.

Hi Grandpa Bob, I'm actually in shock over this, and am so sorry too. After all of the waiting to see if your wife would be a match, then the 'good news,' and the hope that came from it ... Your family has been through 'too much,' with all of this, and the red tape etc., in preparation for your wife to give 'this gift.' This is very sad, and I was hoping they'd be able to reschedule the process. I'll be continuing to keep you, and your family, in my thoughts and prayers. I know you'll keep us informed. There is always hope. Its not over until that fat lady sings, and I am not singing. I will keep you all in my prayers. The University of Michigan hospital is one of the best in the country, things can turn around again. Prayer can work miracles. You have lots of friends here that have been following the story, you will have lots of prayers goin out for you all. Take care and keep us informed with how things are going.

So this is the discussion I missed. You & your wife, let alone your brotherinlaws family must be devastated. After all this hope & effort on your wifes behalf. This is very sad news. Your wife was only one week away from donating her bone marrow. Just goes to show how insideous cancer is. You & your wife are in my thoughts & prayers.
