Does anyone have any fun christmas family traditions? When I was growing up we always did everything together. We would pick out a tree and decorate it together. Make cookies. All kinds of stuff. But now that I have a family of my own I want to do the same things but I cant get my husband into it. Should I just do it with out him or should I try new things to get him involved? Please help!!

I would do the things with out him. It is his loss. You will be making ever lasting memories with your kids. One of my kids favorite memories was my Dad taking them to look at all the Christmas lights on Christmas eve. They would get their jammies on and we would load into the car. Go look at lights for a few hours then home. I would read Twas the Night Before Christmas to them. Then they put out the cookies and went to bed. My daughter is 28 and she still talks about it. Maybe if your husband sees you guys having so much fun he will join in.

Ask him if there is any reason he doesn't want to do it, or if there is something else he would rather do. Maybe he's not much into baking cookies, but he would enjoy driving around to look at christmas lights, or at least driving so you can pay more attention to the lights. Try to find out what he did when he was a kid and if there are any traditions from his family that he wants to continue.
If he still is acting like Scrooge, put a lump of coal in his stocking and have fun without him.
