Gosh this teacher should be punished and should be banned from teaching. That's abused of power. This is the common worry now of parents especially in the grade school, I hope school authorities will take actions with teachers who abused their powers.

i think as he tell our kids to be aware of elders who want to take undue advantage of them,in the same way we need to tell them about their teacher as well.its really wierd that a person to whom we are giving our children to educate them to make a good future for them, takes undue advantage of them.but we being parents have to think about them.

Hi vmenard, I agree that this has moved protecting children to a whole new level, but I haven't heard anything new recently. Parents will have to discuss it openly with their kids. What ages would we be talking about anyway? I'm assuming it would be high school students, which should make discussing it a little easier. Blessings.

The same way you talk to your children about any adult who wants to touch or use them in an inappropriate way. You just let them know that just because someone is in a position of authority, does not give them ANY more right to ask those things of you. Just be open and honest, kids are smarter than adults give them credit for. As long as you let your child know what is OK and what isn't, they should be ok.
