How long have you been doing? I haven't tried it with my son, but his doctor did say that it could take several weeks to notice a change. If you've been doing it for over a month and don't notice much change, perhaps you should try the dairy free diet. I haven't done either because most of what my son is willing to eat is either dairy or gluten heavy.

I have read a lot on this subject as far as I can remember if there is no improvement in few months than it is not going to. I planed to put my son on the gluten free but when I saw my options and what he would have been allowed to eat ( I am told that once they are on it they cant cheat as even small amount is not good for the kids) My son would not want any of thet. I tried introducing the gluten free products but he was not eating any of them. So I decided to wait untill he is a bit older.

Putting your son on one of these diets is a personal choice. I opted against it myself. These yeast, toxin, etc. is not more than a theory. Has never been proven.
A good balanced diet for a healthy kid whether he is autistic or not is the best way to go.
