Do you have a friend whom you already consider as a brother or sister?

How did the friendship really start? Did you really think you'd have this very close friendship?
I have a friend for 4 years now whom I consider as my closest friend and my sister. She's 7 years younger than me. When we met, i didn't think we would be very close. It was a simple acquaintance and turned into a very close friendship. Now, even if we are separated by distance, we still keep that friendship. When she comes home to our place, she's very much welcome to our family like our own sister.
Do you have that kind of friendship with your friend?

my best friends is like my soul sister. we feel like we were sisters in our past life. we met back in college (hmmm...20 years ago already!) we were inseparable from the time we became friends. we shared lots of experiences and memories. we even vowed to each other that if ever one of us suddenly has amnesia, we will tell each other what our life before was like. when we graduated from college, we went to work for different companies, started living our own lives but we kept in touch, always met up for female bonding until she left for the states. every so often, she comes home to visit but she's permanently residing in the states now. i miss her but we still have that spiritual bond. we know that whatever the distance, we can still rely on each other for anything.

Yes I can say I do I actually have about seven women I consider closer than my sister and a couple of men much closer than my brothers. Suzan, Julia, Betty, Jean, Flossie, Marion, Amaryah, are dear to me and more than friends. Jimmie, John, Marty are like brothers. Marty especially and I miss him right now as he is in Arizona for the winter.

of course. i got lots of friends i consider as a brother but i don't think i have any i consider as a sister. when growing up around certain people you tend to form a relationship that's powerful with them.
i can also reLate to you errielle. because i have a friend in canada and we talk online all the time. i have never met her in person but i believe that she is special to me and i hope that our friendship will not be separated by distance.

Hi keminem001. Thanks for understanding about me and my friend. We don't see each other often since she works and lives in another place here in the philippines. But we make sure we'd see each other every time we go to her place or when she comes to our place.

Friend is often our listener when we are unhappy.
Friend is our hand when we need help.
Your word told me that friends are our most imporent.
I have a lot of friends ,but a few is very ture.
Do you think it ?
In one's life he can have one or two ture friends is enough.
so I think we should protect our friendship!

Yes, my friend Jannette. Although we have been acquainted since high school, we weren't actually friends until our husbands started a friendship. When her husband was in critical condition last spring, and hospitalized, her own sister couldn't be bothered to visit. Since only family was allowed in ICU she told me I was her "sister" so the nurses would let me in. He passed away and now we keep in even closer contact. I am closer to Jannette than I ever was to my own sister.

I do with most of my friends..
I was adopted at the age of 2, grew up in foster care, so naturally accepting anyone I grow close to like a sister or a brother became naturally normal for me...
Especially when at times we were forced to room with and accept people as our brothers and sisters we really did not like...
Not always easy growing up in that situation. We had 15 people total in our household most of the time in my gradeschool years... ..
I also had 5 other adopted family members, and one sister who was adopted to another family... So as children we did not understand how the heritage thing worked we all accepted eachothers heritages since we were brothers and sisters right? ... So over time I come to feel and see as the whole world as being family.. I just have some very close brothers and sisters and relatives, and some extremely distance ones :) - DNatureofDTrain

I have several close friends but i have only one friend whom i've considered as my older sister, my aunt, my second mother-- all rolled into one. She's seven years older than me and we've been best friends for about 14 years already. She's so nice and kind not only to me but to all my siblings as well that we all regard her as part of our family. On every occasion we have in the house we all expect her to be present and join us in our celebration. I'm so happy to have met her as my bestfriend.

Hi,there! I think I'm very lucky to have such a friend.I consider him as my brother and he considers me as his sister as well.We have very good relationship with each other. When I was in the university,we often met each other and went out together. We could share many ideas with each other. He's really like my brother(I don't have a real one),he cares for me and helped me a lot.I really appreciate that. We're not at the same place now,but we still keep in touch with each other.I think it's my great fortune to have this friend, this brother:) Thank you,my brother! Best wishes for you and him. Thanks for your discussion!
