How's your country going?

For me, I'm currently living in the Philippines. I think there is a lot of mess going on here. There was an attempted coup de etat but was thwarted by of "sensible" government. Can you describe the current status of your country? What do you think is the reason why your country looks like that? Is it because of the leaders or of the people living in it?
