How is the christmas mood??

Christmas is nearing..
So I am curious to know how the festival mood is there in your city..
We have only 2 days of holidays for christmas here. :-(

The week of Thanksgiving the decorations started going up here in our town, we have a long parkway (with the street on each side) that runs through town, and it is decorated from one end to the other. At one end stands the really big city Christmas tree, it will be lit this weekend. Then they have decorations from the light posts down the other main street in town. A lot of houses are decorated in our town too. I have to ask, why do you only have 2 days?

Because in my city Chennai(India) winter isn't as cold as other countries..
and also christmas isn't celebrated as grand as western countries here..

Oh ok, was just wondering since you said there was only 2 days. Here we pretty much have the holiday spirit all month long.

well since you are a US resident, you have winter for a longer duration, and obviously I don't think you can go to schools & colleges in such snow.. So you have that privilege.
Maybe we aren't that lucky...

I have a rosemary dressed up as a Christmas tree. That's it though I see no other thing that says Christmas is coming except for commericials where I know Christmas is coming at Target
