Should world leaders go to war with their troops?

Here's a thought. Should we go back to the days when world leaders go to war with their troops instead of going on TV and being cocky "with the bravery of being out of range" (from Roger Waters - Amused To Death) Would we have more wars if they went to war with their soldiers, or would it stop the endless posturing that we seem to see daily on the news. Is there another solution to end war, or are we doomed to fight with each other until the end of civilisation?

You know that no one would do that anymore. Micheal Moore asked people in the senate if they would let there child go overseas to fight and half of them woulnt. But they back up the president. What is this world coming to?

I am from the UK, but I saw Fahrenheit 911, and agree that it is unlikely. What baffles me is that although we know that our leaders are cowards (i am trying to be gentle) we still give them permission to represent us!

I understand and agree with you...I dislike politicians...I feel that are all liars...My Clinton is a bad man but he was a pretty good president. Not to say that I'm going to vote for his wife this coming election. I'm not sure who I will vote for.

well it makes sense now that you say it. if they send these guys out to fight it whyn don't they give a helping hand. if you look at he news everyday or watch some of the videos online you will see the brutality behind all these wars.

Would I EVER love to see that happen! Imagine chicken hawks Bush and Cheney on the front lines? They certainly aren't all that willing or anxious to send their own children or nieces and nephews either, are they? Strange how a few of our Senators and Congressmen who have children who have either gone or will go to war have a different opinion about this war. I hope we're not doomed to fight until the end of civilization but I'm afraid that may be true.

Unfortunately as long as the human desire for power obtained through destruction is fortified by media, politicians, government factions then of course ending war or the need to fight will be very challenging.
But if we were to provide an alternative means to gaining control back of the country being over-thrown, war would not have to errupt for a threat would be removed an an opposition role would not be neccessary. But I geuss this is not nirvana and we are not majick makers . . .

It is my opinion that world leaders have no other option sometimes when it comes to going to war with their troops. The world is filled with humans, and humans have the natural tendency to not to always want to listen to reason. When in power, they tend to not always listen to reason.

In my opinion, the idea that world leaders go to frontline with their troops is unrealistic!
I have two pieces of advice!
On the one hand, the world leaders' children should be sent to the most dengerous frontline of the war!
On the other hand, all of the world leaders should be older than 60!
