Just picked up the book Red Harvest from the library. An old Republic saga. There are so many I can't keep track. I keep jumping from the past to the future in my reading them.

cool. I like reading about Jedi's and Han and Cheewee adventures. I used to but know busy reading other books and well life keeps me busy. J miss the days when I felt like I had more time to read. That was when I was younger.

I only like to read the books that relate to the films, they have made quite a few Star Wars books which have been spin offs from the movies. I find them hard to get on with, and I have tried a few books, I much prefer The Phantom Menace I enjoyed reading that book, because I could relate the story to the film. I think with these books I rather see the film first then read the book. Trouble is since the internet took over a large proportion of my spare time I don't find much time to read as much as I would like now.

I know what you mean about getting time to read. I spend alot of time with my son, my home and then the internet. So I don't get much time to read like I used to when I was younger and not so much responsibilities. Are the books you have read based on the movies do they tell you a little more then the movie?

Having a son is full time work on it's own! Trouble is with films they have to cram so much into the allotted time, with books they have the luxury of going into more finer detail etc, so yes you do get more with reading the actual book, same too with Harry Potter, the fifth book was a tome! There was no way they could go all the way with the film like they did in the book!

I read whatever the book that was suppose to be the follow up to Return of the Jedi. It was long and boring and had stuff about Han an Leia having kids. Meh! I loved the movies and everything beyond that I figure you would have to be a serious fan with an open mind to have some random author twisting the history and future of the series. I grew up watching those movies and will probably grow old watching them two. Episodes 4 5 and 6 I should say.
