Patience

I am not very good when it comes to having patience.
A couple weeks ago I went for a check-up at the doctors. They found I have polyps, again. This makes three times now. I have to wait until December 14 to have an ultra-sound. Then I go back to the doctors to see how bad it is. Until then I don't know what needs to be done. Or how long I will be out of work. I hate waiting. I just wish it was over with.
Are you a very patient person?

Hi isaiah12,
I'm very sorry to hear about this. Are you referring to 'colon polyps,' if you don't mind my asking? I have to have regular colonoscopies done, due to my family history, but so far they have both been clear. I have had one 'other' type of polyp removed however, so have to keep a watch on this too.
It depends on what the issue is, as to whether I'm patient or not. Sometimes I can be, and other times ... In a health situation such as you're facing, I too would find it difficult to be patient. I pray that everything goes well for you, and that you're not out of work for too long. Take Care.

It isn't colon polyps. It is cervical polyps. I have watched family members die from cancer. And since polyps can turn cancerous it really scares me. And when you have to wait for tests. It makes it so hard. They called the other day and said they need to retake my pap test. Something about not getting enough for a good sample. So I have an ultra-sound on December 14. And when I see the doctor for the results of the ultra-sound they will retake the test. I just wish I knew how bad it is and what they want to do. That way I can start to make plans. If I am going to be out of work for a while I need to find some way to bring in money to keep up on the bills.

The polyp I mentioned to you, was a cervical polyp. It was near the surface, so the doctor discovered it while doing my pap test etc. She sent me to a specialist, and he was able to remove it right then, in his office. Not the most pleasant thing, but I was thankful of this. I was told I possibly would need a D&C. They would've sent it away to be tested, and it was benign, or they would have contacted me for sure, as that's what they do here. I too have lost family members due to cancer, and it is scary. It seems we both have this 'strong family history.'
I pray all will go well for you, and am sorry to hear that you have to have your test redone. Let me know how everything turns out, if you'd like. Take care.
