What type of small scale business can you think of?

Besides the helpful discussions that we come across with in mylot, I know that there are a lot of us who also are thinking of the best way how to earn money from home. Usually it's a business opportunity that we can participate online. But how about a non-computer/internet related business? What can you think of that can be helpful to put up besides this, considering that the capital won't be very big?

A few people I know have taken up cleaning jobs, and they are doing very well with it, there are a lot of people these days that would rather pay people to do a bit of cleaning for them and one of my friends cleans a doctors surgery and and a hotel...

Thank you for your response @lilaclady! During my teenage years I was able to work for a cleaning company. I learned a lot of different techniques in how to clean houses, from top to bottom. Having said that, it's ironic that I have a hard time cleaning our house. I really want to improve on this. (^_^)
I guess there are many people who would want to clean their places, I would be one of them and I should say THAT IS a good idea!

There are many small scale businesses that you can do to make money. One of them is restaurant. Restaurant would require you to rent a shop lot or if you already own one then it would reduce the cost. I know quite a number of people that earned a lot from the restaurant businesses. Imagine one table getting you 50 usd in profit.
Besides that, again if you own a lot or house, you can make it a homestay or budget hotel kind of things. It does not require you to spend a lot in preparing it for business, yet the income is continuous.
One more business that you can do is by agriculture businesses. Plant something and sell them for money. Many Asian got wealthy by doing them. You don't need much money to start it, all you need is a piece of land.
