Well this is a great photo for me to share with my snow loving and snow curious freinds here. I've talked about the snow I've gotten on Saturday and again yesterday and posted a few photos. But as I went to bring my garbage cans back to the yard from the street I forgot all about my Burpee Seeds Pail that I use as an ash tray in the warmer days. It's filled with snow and I think it makes a great photo to share. The snow is piled very high yet all the sunshine today has melted at least an inch of the fresh snow already. More snow due Thursday and Saturday though. I love the snow. Do you use a pail or another odd item as an ashtray if you smoke?

Hello there grand pa bob, thats a huge astray you got there and I guess its a good snow catcher. NO one smokes in the family so we dont have astrays at home, my father used to smoke when he was alive and I hate seeing him smoke, now he is away from us and we only have memories.

Yeah it is kind of big for an ashtray. But I saw it at the local Nursery when I bought some plants this summer and said it was cool so I bought it. I also have a huge dish made of granite in the back yard I use out back as an ash tray. But that's buried deep in the snow. HAHA!

I'm happy for you that you have snow because I know you like it. No ashtray for this ol' girl, I quit in 1996!!!

I used to use all kinds of weird objects as ashtrays when I used to smoke. Right now, I have an old cintrella candle pail out on the side porch that my niece uses for an ashtray since cigg butts tossed on the ground is one of my many pet peeves.

I quit smoking but we used to use a sea shell butter holder for our ash tray. There's a story coming doing worry. My husband and I and a bunch of friends went out to Red Lobster right before prom and I liked the little shell that held dipping butter. So my husband put it in our take home box for me and that became our ash tray.

I use an ash tray inside my home when I smoke. When outside, I use anything. It depends where I am. We keep a small ash tray next to the garden seat.
It's a funny photo with the snow dome.
I imagine you could get some odd shapes with snow.

Grandpa Bob I do not smoke. I do have a friend who smokes and she has a small bucket at my house she uses as an ashtray when we sit in the gargage. When we are outside I have a small ashtray for her on the patio table. I do not mind her smoking, I wish she would stop smoking but I cannot tell her to quit. I feel stopping smoking is very personal and needs to be something one needs to decided to do on their own.
