Dexter is one of the most well written characters I've seen on television. Of course what he's doing is wrong, murdering people, but you find yourself liking him. It helps that the people he kills are bad, but deep down you know he shouldn't take matters in his own hand, but he can't help himself. Michael Hall is an excellent actor, and should be nominated for an Emmy.

I agree this show is like no other and should be nominated. It makes me so nervous thinking he is going to get caught but you know that he needs to stop this and not take matters into his own hands. Lots of twists and turns makes this a great show to watch.

I really agree. Dexter is pure brilliance, he should be so hatable but i gotta say that the most tense moments in both series i have found in the latests episodes because you actually fear for him. Not only is the character finely written, also the rest of the screenplays are great and most of the other actors as well. I know i would usually detest for a vigilante kind of character. But Dex is just so interesting. A great quote from last episode: "it puts a pit in my stomach i can only interpret as..sadness". What is so cool about the serie is that they really focus on what goes on in his mind, wich should be a grim vision, but its all made with some greaat dark humour. Brilliant!
