If you've ever bought a small gadget in the United States, you know what I'm talking about. It's the hard plastic packing that they use for products such as cellphones, cameras, etc. They're so difficult to open! If you use scissors to cut it open it'll create sharp edges that can cause injury.
Is anyone else bothered by this? Or am I just stupid for not knowing how to open it?

i hate packaging. do you have kids? do they ever get toys with that plastic crap? you need like a full artillery just to get to their toys. it takes forever. and all of it is a choking hazard most of the time. i don't understand why they do that other than maybe for shipping purposes, but seriously there has to be another way that doesn't put us at risk or create more unnecessary garbage.

I guess their objective is two things: 1 - They want to protect the gadget from damage; and 2 - They need it waterproof. I'm sure the companies that make that stuff can come up with something better. I suggest just using bubble wrap. It can achieve both objectives.

You aren't the only one that finds them annoying. I hate not being able to open them without nearly cutting off a finger or slicing open the skin on my hand. I mean, scissors or a knife, whatever you use does not make a difference because it seems like you'll always end up hurt, or really close to hurt whenever you go to open it. You'd think they'd find a more people safe packaging to pack those things in.

Yes I know exactly what your talking about, it is very hard to open it, I cut myself pretty badly once trying to open the pack, at Christmas you only need to buy kids one present with this stuff on it because it will take them all day to open it.. :)
