Sentencing in the death of my six year old son

For those of you who have been waiting for this moment as long as I have, I wrote the news report about the sentence that Murguia received over the death of my six year old son, Gaje Florence. First let me say that you have my deepest sympathy. I can't imagine the roller coaster of emotions you feel on a daily basis. Your article was very well written. Your comments and feelings were very well explained. I am extremely disappointed with the decision to only jail Marguia for a year and 3 years probation. That simply doesn't seem like enough punishment for the crime she committed. Time will help in the healing process but life may not ever be the same. I will keep you, your son and your family in my heart and prayers. Again, you have my deepest sympathy. May God bless your family.

Everyone says that time will heal all wounds but each time I think about that day, I feel an emptiness in my heart. I still have nightmares about it and my husband wants me to see someone about it but I don't feel comfortable with talking to a total stranger about something that they probably have not been through.

I was going to a support group for homicide survivors until one of the ladies acted real rude towards me and then made a comment about how I didn't need to be there. I stopped going because I felt that no one had the right to tell me that I don't have the right to be at a support group that is meant for people like me.

Rosa I am so sorry that it has taken so long to respond to this - I was offline for a longtime and am only just getting back into the swing of things. Thank you for the update on what has happened. I know that a years sentance and 6 months served is not exactly justice but please know that everything will be balanced in the next life if not in this! I think you did an amazing job of writing the report and know it must have been extremely difficult for you to do. I have been keeping you and your family in my prayers and hope that you find peace soon. Hugs xxx

I am sorry for your loss.I would be devasted and very sad if my kids were killed as well.I think she should have been put in prison for life.I think you will have greif as you will never forget them as he was your child,someone dear and very precious to you.I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year .
