Has religion been diuted by the Priest/ Religious heads ?

The Religion started by Prophets was pure and simple. Over a period of time, the preists and religious heads started manipulating it so as to benefit themselves to some extent. New rules were intorduced and the real rules were diluted. Brain washing and exerting authoity became the plan of the game. Where is that pure religion which was started by our Prophets. Today everything in religion is related to some mercenary project. Even last rites have become so costly that the poor can hardly afford it. In such cases, what does one teach the youngsters of today.

In Christianity it has much effects as you said i think.
In Islam there is no priest culture, now it is going like that and image of priest is coming to Islam and they are making Islam complicated.
I'm always against to priestisation of Islam, It is for everyone and no difference between anyone other than their piousness and righteousness.
All we need to learn about our own religions from the root sources.

Islam is what God says in Quran and what prophet shown practically, believe in it and practice in it is enough to be a Muslim.
And about other religions also it will be the same method.
