How does any one earn by doing paid surveys?

Alright, I am posing this question out of curiousity alone. Please, I do not wish for any one to refer me to any paid survey sites. I have noticed that quite a few people here mentioned or discussed that they earn money by doing paid surveys. I would simply like to know how? I used to join paid survey sites, but I never made anything off them. I do not think it was because all of them were scams, although a few of them might have been. But some of the survey sites that I joined in the past are some of the same ones I have seen mentioned on this site in which other people have claimed to earn money on. When I tried the paid survey sites, I would get a screening survey. After answering the several questions for this screening survey, I was always told, "sorry, you do not qualify for this survey". I got that message every time for every survey, reguardless of my answers or what the survey was about. During the course of time that I was trying to earn money doing surveys, I was offered hundreds of surveys by each and every survey site I joined, only to be told that I did not qualify after completing the screening survey for each and every one. I was once even told that I did not qualify for a survey that had something to do with parents of children under the age of 6, even though at the time both of my kids were under that age. That's just one example. So any way, how does anyone get paid for surveys? How the heck do you pass the screening survey in order to get to the paid one?

A lot of survey sites don't pay cash. Once you get enough points you can get gift cards or gifts. You probably didn't qualify for that survey because they had enough people inyour age, race or area you live. There is one site that even if you don't qualify you get five points. Once you have enough points you can cash out and get a ceck for $50. I have cashed out several times and thier checks are good. It is not enough to live on but it is extra cash. You can also earn extra points by referring others. A lot of people are earning a living by selling a list of paid survey companies. Not from actually doing surveys. They get money when you pay for the list and they also get credit when you sign up with the survey sites.

The thing was, it wasn't just one or two or just a handful or even just half of the surveys that I was told that I did not qualify for. I was told that I did not qualify for EVERY survey! I tried to make money doing paid surveys for several months with several different paid survey sites. Over that time period I was introduced to HUNDREDS of surveys, but I did not "qualify" for any of them, not even one! Therefore, I gave up on them as they do not work for me. I am not saying that they don't work for some people and if you can make money doing them then that is awesome. I was just curious how one qualified seems how I never did no matter what. lol. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for your reply. I think it is wonderful for you if you have actually made money on a paid survey site. However, I do not want to seem rude, but I did specifically state in my post that I did not want anyone to refer me to any paid survey sites, which it appears that you are trying to refer me to one. I am sorry but I no longer have any interest in them. More importantly, you left your referral link in your response. As I understand it, this is a violation of mylot policy and doing so could cause the entire dicussion to be deleted. Therefore I am asking you, that while your responses are welcome, please do not leave your referral links in your replies to my discussions as I do not wish for them to be deleted, thanks. I hope I do not sound to harsh.

I had to come check. I was sure I didn't post a link. I was right it was that ppcdude who commented under my comment. They shouldn't delete your discussion for it. You aren't suppose to post links in a discussion but they can be posted in the comments if they pertain to the discussion. I haven't had one deleted yet. He shouldn't have posted on here just because it was obvious you weren't looking for any. I like mylot also it is a fun and interesting site.

I decided not to do any paid surveys when I found the one I joined only paid me in certificates or contest points. I think that most of them are scams, that they have no intention of having anyone qualify unless they make a certain amount of income, live in a certain city, on a certain street and have a certain address and have children between such and such an age, born at a certain hospital. In other words, they make the qualications so low that few can qualify and these, of course, make lots of money.
So I do not do paid surveys since the surveyers do not wish to pay you.

Yes, yes! I understand. That makes a lot of sense. I got the same impression about them as to how difficult it was to actually "qualify". Thanks for the reply.

Oh me too! I like my lot. I have a lot of different money making sites of one sort or another that I belong to, but most of them, that's all they are to me, just a site to earn a little extra cash on. But I actually enjoy my lot.
