Day to day survival

Anyone with BIPOLAR will know that despite the medication, everyday is still an uphill struggle. Obviously if you are properly medicated the symptoms will be reduced but our moods don't operate like 'normal' peoples. I think that someone should consider developing a life skills program for people suffering from this condition. A psychologist who has the condition or has had extensive experience treating people who have. Maybe a step by step program to help regulate your life and help you identify your triggers.

I completely agree with you. I'm Bipolar and a psychology student (actually having to take time off due to this debilitating disorder), oddly enough. It's definetly something I would like to look into if and when I do finish with my degrees. It's difficult to identify triggers for me because my mind races so much that I just can't focus on what's going on.

I was wondering if you could help me understand how bipolar effects your day to day life. What feeling is can make you feel. Does it effect relationships and how? I had a cousin that had it and am now trying to understand how it effected her. Thanks for any help you can give me.

That is a great idea. I have a friend that suffers from this horrible affliction. He can lose days at a time and to have a regular job is next to impossible and although the medications have come a long way there is still a long way to go to find a way to help people cope.
