I just bought my first white christmas tree.I like green ones too but this year i wanted some more peace in house so i prefered the white one.
So it's not that big 150 cm high but very nice.
It brings so much serenity to the house.
So which do you prefer a white or a green tree?

I would love to have a white christmas tree. But, all we have now is a little table top fiber optic green christmas tree........cuz we are broke and cant afford anything more than that.

I'm sorry to hear you're broke. But the real christmas spirit lies in the heart and as long as you can imagine it's a white tree its a white tree.
If you can't afford one this year maybe next year you hace a better year and you can buy one.
Well i hope you will still have a great Christmas
Cheers

What a great idea! I have seen the white ones and always thought they looked so attractive...and yes, peaceful. Up to this point in time we have always had green ones...but after reading this my mind has been opened to the idea of doing something different next year.
My Mom passed away three years ago and I always keep many of our family traditions in place. Now my hubs and I are wanting to maintain some of the special things she liked but to also add new dimensions to the season that reflect where we are now. So who knows...you might just have given me a new thing to try and I thank you for that.
Hope your tree does bring you the peace you want...it is that time of year!
Cheers,
Raia

That;s great to hear.I even saw a great idea here on mylot for a white christmas tree.
Blue lights in the tree. But white light will do the job too.
Normally we also have the family traditions except this year for the tree.
I can assure the white christmas tree looks great already. It's not finished yet but it is beautiful and indeed very peaceful.Since we don't have a lot snow for years this will bring a little bit of snow in the house.
Have a wonderful christmas this year. and enjoy your christmas tree.

I've always had a green tree, sense we usually have a real one, but my daughter put up a white one this year, and the photos she sent me, it looks really nice, she also went with a red and blue patriotic theme this year, since her husband is home from Iraq this year, the first Christmas they have had together in 2 years.

I have never had a white tree but I have seen them and i think they are so pretty. I like both green and white trees. I would put either one up in my own house. I bet your tree looks beautiful.

growing up i always had green trees. my parents had a green tree, my grandparents had a green tree and my nana had a green tree. but this year i'm with my boyfriend for christmas and we bought a white tree. it's 6.5feet tall and had clear lights already on it. then we bought 400blue lights and added them to it. plus 2strands of blue and silver balls and put on some blue/aqua bulbs. it looks so pretty!

I bet your tree looks awesome especially with the blue lights. So beautiful.
I love the colour blue. The fun part with a white tree you can add all sorts of colours to it.
We used to have green trees too but always fake except for last year and i've seen a white tree before.I thought it was time for a change.I think it was a pretty good change.

I prefer a green tree, because I think that is more beautiful than a white tree, and all the balls and lights results better on this kind of tree ...

Also a green tree looks more natural ofcourse. With a green treee you can add colourful lights with a white it's better to add only white light
