I'm going to be a consultant for Creative Memories (scrap booking company great fun) and I have done the home consultant thing before with out any success. Not with CM but another company. So I was wondering if any of you guys have done the consultant thing and which companies you enjoy working for the most.

I was a designer for Home & Garden Party for a year. I couldn't get any more bookings after my first 6 parties. Plus I couldn't keep up with the changing product. If I found something that would sell in my area I woud definatly do it again.

Why would you do it again if the first time wasn't so great? I'm kinda worried that I'm going to crash and burn again. But atleast this time I'm selling something that even if I don't do well at the buisness side of it I will enjoy the product at a discount.

I joined 2 different companies that carry children's items because I'm a mom of a 2 year old. I'm really liking the second company I joined a lot more then the first. In January I joined Kidsmart, it's a Canadian company that sells children's toys and accessories. It is way more money to join and doesn't sell nearly as well. The second company I joined is Usborne Books. The start up cost was only $38, and that included everything, even the shipping and taxes. The books sell really well, we have just over 2000 titles, over 700 of those are under $10. My son really likes the books, he now asked for them over any other book. I'll be starting a home daycare soon and plan on only have Usborne Books for books.
