I'm not a huge horse/riding person; I only rode a few times when I was a kid at a community stable. But ridnig on the beach looks so fun! I want to do it at sunset sometime, with my lover, lol.

I remember riding on Galveston Beach a LONG time ago. My sister's horse wanted to run out into the waves, which would've been fun in June, but not December! I would've enjoyed it more if it hadn't been so cold and windy that day off the gulf.

Your up in the mountains, there's bears (shot to scare them off) and rattlers - well, I like snakes, but that's just me. Might even have to scare off a puma.... Glad I live in a city.

Not nice friendly bears like you Trans, but those bears up in the mountains... of course, they want to avoid you as much as you want to avoid them, but sometimes you just meet in the brush and things can't be helped. And I sure didn't say SHOOT the bears, I said to SCARE the bears.

I have never shot to kill ever. A shot in the air will run off anything but if I ever had to kill for my safety I would, I really hope I never have to.

I am a therapeutic riding instructor and I think riding is the greatest sport in the world. I am so in love with horses and have been since I was about 5 years old. I have had my horses on the beach, the prairies, in the mountains;I have taken them swimming about the only thing I haven't done with my horses is ride them in a desert. Riding on the beach is one of the greatest things it is so peaceful and beautiful however a lot of beaches don't allow horses anymore for environmental and safety reasons. If you can find a beach to ride on then you have to do it you will love it.

When we lived in Alberta we lived in a small farming community where there were wild horses. It was so cool to be so close to them.

It would have been terrifying to have them come out of the dark around me though. I can see how that would freak you out.

I have never experienced to ride any horse except a wooden horse when I was a kid, lol. I could imagine how wonderful and thrilling if I were to ride a horse galloping swiftly along the beach. I hope you could materialize you dream to ride a horse with your lover at a romantic sunset very soon.

You know, i have always wanted to try horseback riding and never have! I just have not had the oppertunity. However i am a little scared of horses too, cause they are so skiddish and jumpy. My friend and i were feeding a horse hay once and it tried to bite her in the boob!

no i haven't...but yeah, it sounds nice...i have ridden a horse, but i did not let it run. i just stayed on top and waited until my picture was taken. lol i am pretty scared and had no chance to practice riding. anyway, i really envy those who ride horses and are very graceful. they look good on those powerful animals! and the fast ride seems exhilarating too! i wonder when i could do that? :-) good day!

I've ridden on the beach many times. In fact, I mostly learned how to ride while on the beach. It's very beautiful and most of the horses like it. I used to ride one horse that liked the hard-packed sand near the water and another horse that liked the deep sand offshore. She would have a nice stride while in that deep sand.

I have never been fortunate enough to ride a horse on the beach but wow, whenever they show pictures of it or movies with it, I want to ride a horse on the beach right now!! It looks very free and romantic to me so yes, I want to go for that ride someday!

Sounds great. I have only ridden a horse a couple of times but if I ever become very wealthy that is the one thing I would love to have is a horse. Also, a place on the beach is something that I have in my goals for the near future. The two of them together would be even better.

I used to ride horses a lot when I was a kid. When my family and I was on vacation on Mauritzius I got the opportunity to go horse riding along the beach. It was a very memorable experience, and I recommend it to anyone interested!

Unfortunately I have never ridden a horse in my life although I have always wanted to do it. The picture you described is very romantic and a very good idea for a present for some special anniversary.

I've ridden thro all kinds of places but the beach is my favourite, there is nothing like a gallop on the beach any time of year. It can be a bit scary tho for someone who hasn't ridden, as once the horse goes it can be hard to slow down and stop.
