Ok, I went to the post office, and sure enough it was NOT legit. The ink on the number was too light and the security thread line was not the correct width. The only thing they did have right was the Ben Franklin watermark image. They said they'd seen a few of those, and was very appreciative that I brought it in. I also, gave them the UPS envelope from which it came in. I hope this was helpful informaiton for them to catch who sent it to me. And I hope this is valuable information to my mylot family.

These people don't get any benefit with such a scam. I just cannot understand why too. There must be a reason why these people do such things.

I hope you didn't lose any money on this scam. This has been on the news for months and people are still not aware that it is a scam. It's sad what people will do for a little money. You did the right thing by turning it in. So many people are too embarrassed to do that.

No, thank God I didn't lose any money on it. I mean truly, what's really going on when people make fake money orders? This is so disturbing. Things like this make it bad for people out there who are truly trying to do things the right way to provide for their family. You know, I can't wait for the day when one of those checks or money orders are mailed to a government official (police,FBI,CIA, etc.) who's doing a sting opperation. Their butts will be had.

As what we thought ha? Anyway, like what they said, it is a good thing that you brought that money order over so that it would help them to further investigate this kind of scam and avoid others from being victims to it. Cheers to you!

I do a lot of mystery shopping and all of my sites now list this scam. Evidentlally they are also contacting mystery shoppers and stating they are giving them this money to go shopping and to test cashiers skills. They are then supposed to western union a portion.
