How did your kids handle pictures with santa clause when they were young? My oldest daughter, now 6, has always done just fine. But my 1 year old didn't care for it too much. She liked looking at him from a distance. But once on his lap. She didn't like it. I wasn't impressed with the photographers this year either.

My husband and I just took our 1 month old to get his first picture taken with Santa. He was very good the whole time. He just slept in his daddy's arms while waiting in line. Finally, it was our turn and my husband tried to wake him up and our son began to stir around. He sat him in Santa's lap and he absolutely refused to open his eyes. After the picture was taken was when he decided to open up his eyes. At least he wasn't fussing!

LOL I'm glad I took the time to read the whole thing. For some reason when I read the title I got the image of children looking at pictures OF Santa and was going to tell you about my 2 1/2 year not letting me drink my can of Coke for the longest time because he was "wooking at Ho Ho Christmas"...
Pictures WITH Santa, that's an entirely different story. The babies have been alright with it but it seems like once they are 1 1/2 to 3 or 4 they aren't too sure about him. With mine it ranged from 'just a little leary but willing to tolorate sitting on his lap' to 'alright 5 feet away but no closer' to 'outright terror if he was even in the same room'. This year the youngest will be about 13 months and so far he's still friendly and happy with new faces so hopefully we can get a good picture. This one has always been pretty easy going...he watched and fell asleep during his first fireworks this summer...his oldest sister cried during them until she was 10.
