Local Cop in Tons of Trouble

This story began a few weeks ago when a local woman took her baby into the police station to turn the baby over to the police because she explained that she could no longer care for it. The woman, who was 7 months pregnant, was tasered and assaulted. The whole thing was caught on video tape and, you guessed it, ended up on You Tube. A few days ago it was announced that the cop who was responsible had been placed on leave pending investigation. You would think he'd have all his ducks in a row, right? Wrong. It was learned today that objectionable materials were found on this guys MySpace page, which led to him being fired. Will people ever learn that it's almost impossible to get away with anything these days? Wouldn't you expect that a cop would know that every aspect of his life would be investigated following such charges?

Not that I know of, Aurone, although he did say he was unaware that she was pregnant. I'm sure it will all come out in the upcoming trial.

This one evidently didn't get the point, naty, and he has to pay the price for it.

You are so right, gabs. Incidents like this don't exactly inspire trust in law enforcement.

I can't believe this happened. But I know there are bad cops and goods in this world. They were stupid for tying to hid but had stuff on their myspace page. How dumb can people be. We all know that the internet has info on everyone. you would think cops would know that includes them also. Its not just the civians information on the world wide web.

Somehow, lizzyt, I just don't get him posting objectionable material on his MySpace page knowing he was a cop.

yeah
I guess cameras being everywhere doesn't leave much room for bad people to get away with much, at least for long.
So, we lose privacy, yet we gain safety I guess.
I wonder if its worth it.
Everyone, including cops, have to watch that are fair these days.

Like I said before, kurtbiewald, we all live in glass houses-moreso than ever.

I have very little respect for police officers. They always seem to feel they are above the law and won't get into trouble. I've known a few personally and they even admitted to it. I'm not at all surprised at this story and hope he loses his job over this just to prove a point.

Ironically, ctry, he has lost his job, but not for the tazing incident. He did it to himself by posting the things on MySpace.

I think that he should be in trouble. I don't know why people put things on My space that would get them in trouble. It is crazy. I know that Ohio has now passed a law making it illegal for teachers to have an account on Myspace. I am not sure that was needed either, but they claim that they are role models and should not be posting on there. I would not post anything that could come back and get me later, that is crazy.

I have to see this on Youtube no doubht. there has to be more to it. I hate cops with a passion especially the ones that take their jobs way too seriously and put Justice in their own hands and then get away with it.
So it feels good knowign this guy is gettign what he deserves. I just find it hard to beleive the lady just gets tasered for no reason at all. SHe must have did somethign to warrant it. Anyways, I'm going to go check it out. thanks for the heads up on the video :)
Plus the guy is a perv.

From all accounts, marabdl, she was only trying to hand over her child. The police stated that he did not know she was pregnant, but the video will probably tell it all.

You would think so! I agree with you, but sometimes I wonder what people consider "objectionable" these days, and I really don't believe in MySpace being used for things like job references lol...I understand in this situation, its a little different, due to the fact that it was a crime and he's a cop...but sometimes it just gets a little out of control. Like potential employers looking at someone's MySpace page to decide on whether or not to give them a job? If I wanna go out one night and drink and have a good time with my friends, and I happen to put pictures on my page, i certainly don't think that's grounds for not getting a job, or for getting accused of a crime! Do you know what it was on his page that they didn't like?

It was alleged that there were objectionable pictures posted on his MySpace page, MakinMoney, and also some other things the cops found to be objectionable. You might be able to find more about the case at www.whiotv.com.

Sounds like an idiot, I am glad he is not "protecting" people anymore. It amazes me at what people put on myspace.
