Would you want to know your own death?

i've seen this film a while ago about people having clues of how their friends and families will die. i forgot the title (sorry) but they died of horrible deaths. as in freak accidents. anyway, would you want to know how you are going to die. if someone knew how, like they come across a book of deaths or something and in it specific details are given of peoples deaths, time, date etc, would you want to know??? yes or no and why. thanks
