50s housewife

ive posted this once it was my first topic but i didnt get any responses so i think i might have done something wrong so im going to post it agian sry. im just curious what everyone thinks about the idea of the"50's housewife" that the woman should stay home and takes care of the kids and house while the man goes out and works and provides for the family money wise?
