How do you keep fit after giving birth?
I have given birth to my son 6 years ago. I was not able to loss the pounds I've gained from that pregnancy until now. How come others had gone back to the figure they have had before they have given birth?

I was pregnant August 2006 to May 2007. My baby was born and I felt quite well after this. But I felt that was figure looked like someone that was four months pregnant. I do exercises like walking, dancing and sit ups to help my body go back into shape. I went to a pregnancy class. Two of the ladies go to a strict and challenging exercise class once a week. The first time they went it sounded awful: running up a steep hill pushing the baby's buggy. One of them hurt her back and had to go for a massage. After a few months these ladies looked slim again. Another of the ladies looks far slimmer but has a way to go. One of the ladies is very overweight and is not trying to diet or exercise. Another one of the ladies was dieting quite heavily but had to stop when she realized she was pregnant again. So she had one baby in May 2007 and her next one is due in May 2008. One of her relatives joked she would only have to try once to get her figure back. She has a nice bump now and it looks quite big. She is excited because she has an ultrasound booked for Christmas Eve.

Hi maximax8! Thanks for the response. I had been through dieting and exercising but nothing seeems to work. I have now accepted the fact that I'm fat. I was around 50 kg before I got pregnant. Now, I'm around 60 kg and have no idea how to lose the 10 kg I have gain. Anna

Oh, it sounds challenging for you to get rid of the extra pounds. I suggest eating a smaller amount for each meal and then eating your last meal of the day at least four hours before you go to bed. Perhaps try a meal like salad or a snack like carrots cut into sticks with a lemon dip. You might want to try really fast walking or jugging. Good luck.
I have lost two kilos in this month. I still want to get rid of much more weight. I will do this with diet and exercise. I read a good book that has a table showing what sort of ideal weight each person should be. It does this my looking their height and current weight. It has helped me with its suggestions for fun exercise like 20 minutes of dancing to music. Good luck.
