Who's to Blame

Well, it's happened again. Some waste of human flesh has gone on a shooting spree, killing and wounding people hoping to make some lame "wo is me" statement. Once again we are going to be assaulted by the press with lies, half truths and anti gun rhetoric. We're going to be told how it's somehow our fault that people fall through the cracks of society, and crack up.
We are going to be told what kind of gun he used, how much ammunition he was carrying, and other meaningless details that have nothing to do with why or how it happened. Our elected officials are going to fall over themselves to be the first idiot to come up with legislation that ultimately won't make any difference whatsoever.
So, who's to blame?
Why not blame McDonald's? After all, if they hadn't fired him, his life would still be both hunky and dory at the same time. He would still be just a lonely boy, a little off kilter, but that shouldn't stop him for making the food we eat. If we blame them then the families of the victims can sue! I mean, they deserve to dig into McDonald's deep pockets much more than the hag who spilled coffee in her crotch, right?
You know we have to blame the makers of "assault rifles"... We can't drag the body of Sergei Simonov (creator of the SKS) himself into the court room, but hey, we still have Browing, Winchester, Colt and H&K to go after. While we're at it, why not go after the makers of whatever kind of tape the innocent lost puppy used to tape the magazines together.
Since the press has made such a cool catchphrase of "Lost Puppy", let's throw logic and perportion out the window and blame all the lost puppies of the world. Oh wait, we can't do that, "lost puppies" are the victims, and we all know "victim=respect". Why are these little puppies lost? Because the rest of us are just heartless bullies who take turns at these poor little picked on folks. Or is it that we just ignore them as if they never existed? I guess we need to get the press to make up their minds, so we can understand our guilt and accept our punishment accordingly.
Let's not though, under any circumstances, even broach the thought of placing blame on ol' Whatshisname. You know, the guy whose finger was on that evil trigger that brought on the ugly. He is a victim here, not a cold hearted, calculating, premeditating mass murderer. Our hearts should go out to his cold dead corpse! There should be a memorial cross and flowers placed on the hallowed spot where his precious life's blood spilled out onto the mall floor. A reminder to all the rest of us that we are all a bunch of selfish, greedy oafs who just don't understand what it's like to not be elected prom King.
Let's just go down to our local jail, prison or otherwise house of incarceration and demand our right to take on the blame and judicial action of which we are so deserving. Write to your city counsel, mayor, county seat, state legislature, Senators, Congressmember, and even Prs. Bush! Demand immediate legislation protecting us from ourselves! Let's hold sit ins and candle light vigils until they agree to take the rights that we can't handle anyway!
THE TIME IS NOW! DON'T LET OL' WHATSHISNAME'S DEATH BE IN VAIN!!!!

I do, but I still would rather not take a bullet in a mall. I do look forward to returning to Our Father in Heaven, but I'm also enjoying the heck out of the life He blessed me with.
I also wish you would keep to the topic of the thread instead of hijack it for your own proselyting.

Para -- myLot has suspended Frog's account so many times, but she keeps coming back. Why were her accounts suspended?
She hijacks threads and talks about God in every one of them, no matter what the subject is.

This just in from the associated press...
Now "Robert Hawkins"'s friends are threatening a poor girl via text message and phone, for commenting negatively about the situation. Dumb little ****s...one of them sent her a threatening text message while she was being interviewed by "Good Morning America".
Hmmm...orly? Shutin ppls r badz? Apparently her father had reported suspicious and illegal activity involving "Robert Hawkins" to the police, who did nothing. Nice.

I blame all the rich, straight, white, male Protestants of the country. They're the ones keeping everyone down! They're the ones causing all this hatred!
Send some rich white guy to jail, because I'm sure it's his fault.
And, BTW, you forgot to mention Wal-Mart in your post. I'm sure he bought his boots at Wal-Mart, and that means we have to sue them. Another big, evil, mega-corporation bent on destroying the fabric of our society through their obscenely low prices.

No, the blame goes to Ol' Whatshisname.. period.
Yes, our society is sadly moving away from God, but that isn't why the scumbag took lives in Omaha.
