Congrats on your newest addition! I am sure that she will be coming home soon. It is much better for her to be in the hospital with the proper care during this time rather than having to bring her back and forth.
When my son was born he was very jaundice too. They sent him home with me, but I had to bring him into the hospital every day for the next week to be put under the lights and for bloodwork, ect. It was a pain...especially in the winter.
Hope her count gets normal soon and you will have a wonderful addition to your holiday.

Congrats on your little girl, she is adorable. My son had a little jaundice when he was born as well. His wasn't too bad so he got to come home with me, but we had to keep taking him back to the hospital for blood tests. I hope your little one is able to come home with you soon.

Thanks for the update! I've been wondering how you were doing. Jaundice isn't uncommon so I'm sure she'll be home very soon. She's a nice little size too! My babies were anywhere from 6 pounds 6 ounces up to 8 pounds 8 ounces. My youngest was only 18 inches and my now 2 1/2 year old was 21 inches, the rest were all in between. Enjoy this time, it goes so fst. My youngest is only just over a year but I already miss the tiny newborn stage. Take care of yourself too, even if you feel good make sure you take it easy for few weeks. I've made the mistake of pushing myself too much too soon and really paid for it later on. Congratulations MOM, you're one of us now!

Congrats! I hope everything went great with your labor and delivery. I'm sure your precious little one will be back in your arms soon. My son had jaundice too but I did get to take him home with me. I had to take him to his pediatrician just about everyday for the first week to have him tested to make sure his count went down the way it was suppose to.
Be sure to enjoy every second with her when she gets home! Take plenty of time to hold her and bond with her.
