Do you have to be part of an Organized Religion for God to "Appreciate" You?

Do you have to be Catholic or Protestant? Jewish or Muslim? Bhuddist or Shinto for a (or the) Higher power to recognize you? I personally believe no. Since Organized religion is just like a funeral. They are both for people, not for god. You pray and worship god, but you don't have to be part of a religion to do so. I mean, to be part of a religion means you believe everything they teach, and I think few people can atest with out showing their ignorance that everything their bible says is right. I just wondered what other peoples opinions on this subject are, since it seemed like an interesting discussion, as long as people don't take it out or proportions :)!

When a person gives their life to God He shows you how to live. The bible is a guild of sorts. Organized religion is only a place to go and share your belief. God lives in your heart and living is second nature when this happens. Its called living in the Spirit.

I believe that as well, but some people take organized religion way to seriously. They treat the bible not as a refrence guide, but as the lords word. Let me ask all who believe that the bible is God's word. Who wrote it? The correct answer is: Man

Yes the bible is wrote by man. God inspired the information to help us. Ive read through it a few times but didnt get it. I had to make a decision to turn my life over to God for it to make sense. Now I understand why it was written and for what reason. To me it is a guild to a better life if I choose to allow it.

Well I am a Hindu by birth and if I had to follow ‘organized Hinduism’ as practiced nowadays by most, I would have to be worshipping millions of deities and then which ‘higher power’ should I worship and leave whom for others? I would be totally confused! So I am basically a non-practising Hindu in the sense that I believe in pure unalloyed Hinduism which advocated direct communication of the soul with the Maker. Even few Hindus actually believe this, but originally Hinduism is nothing but worship of nature in all its various forms and complete unquestioned submission to the Maker. It is almost a similar thread that runs through most oriental religious beliefs. So I am not a part of any organized religion as such but am still searching within myself for that spark that would show me the way to the connection.
