My Calendar idea ....should I go for it?

I mentioned in a discussion one time I would like to have a calendar that when you walk by it it reminds you of that days appointments. Soon after one of my reward sites offered points for clicking and joining a site where you offer new ideas so I put in my calendar idea. Since then I have been getting phone calls (which I haven't responded to)from the company wanting to talk to me about it. Just now I got some papers in the mail for me to fill out and send back about the idea and talk to someone free of cost. Now I know after that "free of cost" talk they will probably want some money right? Should I give this a go and see what comes of it? What do you think of my calendar idea? I don't have it totally figured out yet but I will before I talk to them but basically when you walk by your calendar it will tell you what appointments or birthdays you have marked for that day!!!

I think it's a great idea. How clever and helpful. I would, however, talk with a patent attorney and get all details so nobody can steal your idea, move forward with it and eventually profit from your idea. The initial talk with the company that is interested should be free. I have no clue how this all works but the company you will be talking with has to profit somehow. That's where I would be on guard. Much success to you, should you decide to take your invention and run with it.

I think I'm going to give it a shot. We never know what can happen in our lives do we?

What could it hurt. You give them no obligation. You give them no money... that is unless you want to. I say go for it. What'll it hurt?

It sounds like a good idea. I would be careful about the company though - make sure that they are not a scam.

Your idea sounds like a winner to me, ctry! What could it hurt if you talk to these people? I hear all the time about people just like you who stumbled upon a good idea that quickly caught on, and led to great success. I really think you owe it to yourself to pursue the possibilities that can result from your idea. I wish you the best.

It definitely can't hurt to talk to them! Ans if it sounds fishy and they do ask for money, then don't do it. If they sound legit, and need a small amount for something, then maybe it's not such a bad idea. It sounds like a relly cool invention, but I've never tried to sell an idea or anything, so I'm not really sure what the process is!

Well, you know what they say...You can't get money from a stone (or whatever)....I have no money to invest but I'll check into it.

I think it is a great idea.I always forget appointments if i do not write them down.It was a great idea and i do not see why they should ask you for money, coming up with the idea should be enough...If they want to do something with your idea, then you should make money and then you can pay them after you get your money...

Go for it! It sounds like a great idea and I would definitely buy one if I saw it a store. You can at least talk to them and if you get a bad feeling at all, you can always back out. Wouldn't it be neat to see your idea in stores for everyone to buy?
