When the "going gets tough," from what sources do you draw strength?

In the face of everyday adversity do you call upon the support of family or friends? Do you pray to your higher power for the ability to complete a task or overcome an obstacle? Do you just buckle down and "git r done"? What is the usual pattern for you to perservere through times that find you overwhelmed and underpowered? Is your pattern one that is relatively new to you or have you always followed the same basic idea? Are you private about your personal difficulties or do you openly share? I know these are a lot of questions but please, if you will, share your thoughts and actions.

Hi rx4life, Family and friends are very important and I always turn to them in times of adversity. What I do after that depends on the problem. I have always been the type to discuss things with those I trust, I find that it helps ease the burden. Blessings.

WOW, great discussion rx4life, and great responses. Wish this was here about a month ago, when I could've really used it. Though, it probably wouldn't have helped. Most of the answers, so far, have been the same family and friends. Then there's the God one, and that's not me.
I could totally relate to LisaHW's response though, as that's how I usually do things. Unfortunately, the ended up not being enough last month and because there was no one for me to talk to about it, I almost did the worst thing in the world - but you already know about that.
I hope that many more people respond to this post with other ideas. Maybe I'll find one that I can use in the future, if things get that bad again - which I hope they won't!!

Mostly I buckle down and "git r done". If something has to be done and I'm the one who has to do it then I just want to do it and get it over with. I draw strength knowing that I'm stubborn and hardworking like my Dad and that God doesn't give me more than I can handle.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
