h there aremachus, and welcome to mylot.
i made my money by cutting yews and magic logs and sold them off, this was my main source of income, but then i got bored and moved onto fishing. this is an excellent way to make money as there arnt many people who fish monks and they are very easy to catch. i then moved onto doing the barrows minigame. this got me a few mill, but involves a very good combat and alot of practice at it. for a f2p like you i would recomend on fishing lobs and selling them of raw. you could also cut yews, but as uath said you will be competing against alot of autos.
good luck making some money.

Thanks to the introduction of the grand exchange making your fortune off simply merchanting is no longer possible. Now you have to at least gather the raw materials for sale if you want to make any profit. Thats going to require you develop some skill. Mining or woodcutting would probably be best. Yews sell well buy on the freeworlds you have to compete for a limited # of trees against the bots. The same is also true for ore & coal but the bots have a harder time competing with you.
Hope that helps a little.

with the addition of the GE (grand exchange) you could pretty much earn your money from just collecting things as you train.
kill cows and collect the hides, put them in the GE and see them fly off the shelf lol.
Kill hobgoblins and collect the limpwurt roots they drop (and runes ect) to sell in the exchange.
kill chickens and sell the feathers.
with the exchange in place, you no longer have to hope a member will find what you have to sell, they will go to the exchange and find it there no matter what world they are on.
other than that you can do as others have suggested and w/c, fish or mine. either way, you will now find it easier than ever before to sell what you collect.
but merchanting is pretty much out the window now as haggling over prices is just not there anymore.

Lets see here, 100k... Well merchanting is a bit demanding and could take some while, having to wait for rush hour times in the game. So, i suggests either mcreating and seling steel bars in bundles 600 each, mining coal 180 each, selling cowhide 100 each, mining and selling iron 100 each....the possibilities are endless. It basically depends on you and your preference on acquiring money
