Dying your Hair Using Kool-Aid

When I worked in the theater, there was a girl who dyed her hair using Kool-Aid. She naturally had light brown/"dishwaster blonde" hair and cherry Kool-Aid gave her hair a reddish/rose tint to it. I never tried it, but I figured it doesn't hurt anything to try it as there are no major chemicals in it. It lasted as long as a wash out, level one color - maybe gradually over 2 weeks. Would you try it? Or have you?

I had a friend do this in high school. She had natural blonde hair, and used cherry Kool-Aid. The trick is of course to get it evenly distributed, which she did not. It wound up looking very patchy. It took her about a month for it to fade. I'm just glad she didn't use grape. : )

That would have been pretty punk! but maybe it would have looked like that burgundy color that people use now.

I have heard of using Kool aid to dye your hair, but have never tried it. I do know of others who had hair colored by kool-aid...and it does give the hair a different kind of color. I don't think I would try it.
