vacation spot?

I want to go to hawaii with my girl. Where is the best spot to vacation in Hawaii? I went to Honolulu once but it was a very industrial area. Is there a more exotic spot than that?

I flew into Honolulu on my way around the world. I went up to the North Shore. It was beautiful up there with white sand beaches and gently waving palm trees. The waves thought were too powerful to even paddle in the sea. It wasn't so built up in that area. I have heard that the other islands are really beautiful and quite exotic looking.
